Eloise Cater

Eloise Cater is a Coastal Engineer at International Coastal Management, with experience across coastal engineering, shoreline protection, coastal adaptation, and coastal monitoring. She has supported projects involving seawall repairs, coastal processes investigations, wave data programs, technical reviews, and infrastructure inspections, building a strong foundation in the assessment and delivery of coastal works. 

Her background spans government, consulting, and research, giving her a valuable mix of practical project understanding and technical insight. Through this experience, Eloise has contributed to the review of coastal studies and designs, site inspections, project coordination, procurement support, and the development of information used to guide coastal management decisions. 

Eloise also brings a strong interest in nature-based and hybrid approaches to shoreline management. Her academic and professional work has included coastal adaptation, eco-engineering, and the performance of shoreline structures, with a focus on solutions that balance engineering function, environmental value, and long-term resilience. 

At ICM, Eloise supports projects that help coastal clients and communities respond to erosion, climate pressures, and changing shoreline conditions. She is passionate about working on practical coastal solutions that are well considered, responsive to place, and designed to create lasting value for both people and the marine environment.
