About This Project
The Challenge
Sections of the Palm Jumeirah Residence frontage were experiencing beach loss, with the brief requiring fast, constructible measures to restore beach width, improve stability, and provide a clear basis for completion activities.
The Solution
ICM undertook beach profiling and stability assessments to set target berms and design profiles, completed beach-nourishment calculations to define import volumes and placement strategy, and prepared construction drawings for sand fill and container-based stabilisation where appropriate. The work package included site-specific applications, coordinated to maintain access, manage turbidity, and minimise rework, providing a practical pathway to restore amenity and reduce ongoing maintenance risk.
“Our focus was an agile, locally tailored, and timely coastal solution - getting the volumes right, getting the profiles right, and delivering drawings the contractor could use swiftly.”
